The vineyard in which this Barbera dAlba
originates is about fifty years old and lies on Bricco San Biagio,
where it enjoys southerly exposure.
The exposure and low production per plant ensure
that the grape ripens perfectly,
with an optimum concentration and balance of sugars, acidity
and anthocyans.
The result is a wine with a marked personality,
the considerable structure of which is softened by ageing in
barriques.
The typical toasted and vanilla scents harmonise
perfectly with the characteristic fruity perfume of Barbera.
